The last time I sat down with Beth she had not yet started Columbia Journalism Grad school. This time the work has begun and she sits down with me to chat about balancing a work/school/life schedule, living in NYC in today's world and being aware of your surroundings.

I talk about getting my kids Cint Emerson's book, 100 Deadly Skills, great book that you can get on Amazon link below. Ultimately even if you are not going to use these skills, (ya never know), it makes you become more aware of your surroundings. Having your face in your phone is not how you walk around New York City or anywhere else for that matter.

It's Memorial Day Weekend, we live in the land of the free because of the brave. Thank you and thankful for all those service men and women who sacrifice everything so we may continue to live in the greatest country in the world. (Yes, it still is, it always was.)
